Plymouth auto activity - missing stock
Hi
Some people may find that there are some missing stock items when trying to run this activity. They are
BATS_exLNE_12T6plank_Open
BATS_exLNE_12T_Fruit_Van
BATS_exLNE_12T_VANFIT
BATS_exLNE_13T_SteelHigh
I have tracked down the problem which is that I have more than just the Severn Valley add-on on my system but I thought I had eliminated anything that wasn't either downloadable or from the SVR pack from the activity. I think they are from the 'LNER Pacifics' or the 'Fires & Wires' add on (or both!). I will sort out an update to the activity which doesn't include these bits of rolling stock and upload it to the site but it may be a day or so before I do it.
If you have Activity Analyzer or something similar with which to substitute stock, it will not affect the performance of the activity to do so. They are just there for 'scenic' purposes.
Apologies to anyone whom this has caused problems to.
Regards
Richard

Hi Richard
They are indeed exclusively off the Fires and Wires CD.
However they will be released as re-skins for anyone who has the original LNER CD this week.

I have rebuilt the activity without the missing stock but will hold off reposting it for a few days to see what happens at BATS. My uploads are still moderated so a replacement would be hidden for a few days, anyway, and it may be quicker just to hold off while the reskins are posted. If anyone would like the replacement activity, please get in touch directly and I will mail it directly to you.
Apologies to anyone who feels messed around and I hope it will all be sorted soon.
Regards
Richard

Hi, just found this post
I installed this activity yesterday and then I ran route riter as I knew I didnt have a lot of the stock although I do have SVR installed. I replaced any missing stock with what I felt was suitable and the activity loaded but straight after receiving permission to leave (whistle & away you go) the activity just kept freezing with no message so ended up deleting it. Would the problem have been due to items of stock that Id used as replacements not being suitable.

Hi,
Just to say Ive reinstalled the activity and due to help from the author it now appears to be working okay but dont know for sure as after 1hr.45mins. I ran out of water(too heavy handed on the regulator & reverser. Will enjoy trying again though as very good activity.
Thanks to ianmacmillan for pointing out stock suitable for replacements. I used some of these but it didnt have anything to do with the replacement stock I used in the first place.

I was waiting for someone else to comment on water! I also ran out while "running round" at St Germans. I find the BATS 57xx very difficult to control!tw001k1522 wrote:Hi,

Hi David and all,
Just completed the activity with 71gals.left. A tip was given and I found that you dont have to open the regulator much more than 25% and do the rest with control of the reverser. Due to trying to save on the water I was a bit late arriving at some stations but not too late to leave on time .
You could always cheat and change the FuelCoal and FuelWater in the activity file but that would be defeating the object

The idea was to send you off to Laira to rewater (and have a deserved cup of tea, too) at the end of two times round the block but I thought two hours was probably enough and drew the line there. It is possible, though, to finish the activity with a lot more water left with careful use of the reverser. You probably don't need to be setting off in full forward/backward if that's what people have been doing as the engine isn't really pulling a particularly heavy load.
Glad you enjoyed it, though. I wasn't sure how popular a shunt from one platform to one adjacent over the course of two hours would be. Thanks for the feedback.
