Which files must I put to upload an activity?

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Which files must I put to upload an activity?

Post by popol »

Hello

I made activities, and I want to upload them. But how can I make a package of all the files? And which files must I put in this package?

Thanks

In Activity Editor, go to File > Package Activity. It'll give you a save dialogue box, allowing you to save the file as .apk format. This is the basic packaged activity file. However you will also need to include a jpg illustrating the activity in general (probably showing the player train) and you should also include (in a zip with the apk) a read-me text file telling the downloader about the activity you have written and where they will need to go to get the stock (best practice is to include UKTS file library IDs if appropriate).

Good luck!

A better way though, in my opinion, is to use Route-Riter. Using that utility you can check the activity for problems first and, if happy, produce a zip file with everything necessary for it to work on another PC, including a stock list.

Then you just upload a picture, description and the zip file.

I find it tons better than the apk system :)
