Timetables

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Timetables

Post by woady1 »

Sorry if this has already been answered but was looking for a quick fix...

I have set up a path from Southport to Manchester Piccadilly and put in the stops I want, but I want to edit the timetable manually. Can this be done?

Yes - click on edit timetable. click once on the station stop and enter the departure time, then click again and enter the arrival time. You can make departure times later this way but not earlier. If you want to make the time earlier you need to reset all the times in the activity file. Times are all shown in seconds past midnight, change them to zero and you can then set the times as above. :)

Another way if you want to make the times earlier than previously is to change the motive power on your player consist and then change it back to your original item and the player timetable will be blank again.
I found this out by mistake as I did not really want to change the times, just changed the consist without realising.

Another way of editing timetables manually is by opening the activity file in Notepad and changing the ArrivalTime and DepartTime under the Player_Traffic_Definition. The times are in seconds, so for example 7:32 would be 29700.
It's easy if you just add how many minutes past the start time the ArrivalTime and DepartTime are by adding 60 for each minute onto the start time. (Hope this make sense!)

This formula might help:
time = number of minutes past start time x 60 + start time (in act file)

(time: the arrival/departure time you want)

I hope this is helpful. :D
