Red Lights Are Driving Me Mad!

Hi, can anyone please help me? I have been building an activity (MSTS) and when I run the activity to check it works, my drivable train pulls into the station and up to a red light as expected.
The train in the traffic approaches the station but is itself halted by a red light preventing it from coming into the passing loop at the station.
How can I get the light to change to green so that it can enter the passing light and allow me to proceed?
I would be extremely grateful if someone could help as this is frustrating me as I cannot get my activity to work in the way that I want it to!

have you checked the path to make sure the other takes the other exit, or if you are using passing points, have you checked the oprional path?

There is a single line into the station, double line at the station, single line out. The route is West Somerset Railway.
I checked that the line is green and set the start time but the light is red. I dont know how to get the activity to permit the traffic train into the station, I did try altering the traffic start time but even though it arrives early, it still is stopped from entering the station by the red light without the driveable train even being near the station!.
