Timings

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Timings

Post by 03huntmat »

I have made an activity 4 the WSR and wen you use the service editor to create the timings at the stations its only allowed me 2 mins roughly between each station but as the speed limit is only 25 m.p.h thats impossible so could anyone tell me how to edit it.

Cheers Matt :D

Have you tried editing the performance level? sometimes thats set as either 75 or 100. 100 basically means no chance unless your very good. 75 i find the best though.

Set the times yourself in the activity editor. click on edit timetable, enter departure time first then click on the time again and enter the arrival time you want. Dont use the calculate function.

I cannot get the Depart Time box to open - Arrival Time and Performance boxes work OK.  Any ideas please? Is there a "must do" sequence? Do you need to tick the station box? Presumably the station line must be highlighted?

For some reason you cannot click the depart time; you need to click the arrival time, enter the depart time, click the arrival time again and then enter the arrival time.

And you cant bring the departure time forward, you can only make it later. if you need to make the departure time earlier you will have to reset the time in the activity (act) file first. Open the act file in notepad or wordpad and change all the times that need changing to something other than shown. I use 600 since that sets the clock to 0:10:0. You can then edit the timetable again and set a new departure time, clicking a second time allows you to set the arrival time.

If your maths is really good you can set all the time directly in the act file, but i find that too confusing. :(
