GWR - Cornish Riviera 2

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Hi,

I'm still having problems loading up this activity:( Would the best thing to do is to download the activity again, or are you running it through Train Store?

Justin. :)

Filling with water

The water tower hose needs to be vertically over the filling opening on the rear of the tender, which is the cylindrical object close to rear of the tender.

For those waiting for rolling stock to run the Cornish Riviera 2 activity, file 11778 has the missing locos. Download and copy into your trainset folder.

Coaled up, watered up, coupled up, left Paddington without problems, but no matter how often I run CR2, I freeze just after the railway bridge on thr run-in to Taunton, about 6 miles out, and get the "send/don't send" error message. Anyone else had this problem?

Just tried Explore Mode - no problem in getting all the way to Plymouth, not even a glitche at the rail bridge just before the junction with the main line from Bristol (where my problem occurs), so I guess that means I don't have a problem with my GWR route paths...

This one has me stumped, especially since no-one else has reported anything like that anywhere on the route. Could you run CR1 ok? If so then try running CR2 again but this time stopping east of the bridge by a good 5 miles and staying there for about 30 mins before resuming the activity - I want to see if its some piece of AI traffic that happens to start just when you're at the bridge. If you havent done so already, it would make sense for you to save the game some 20 miles east of Taunton so that you could run these experiments without having to do the whole thing.

PS What version of GWR are you running?

Thanks - I've tried your suggestions and come up with some interesting results. Usually I freeze and get the "send/don't send" just after the bridge, jusj before joining the main line. However, if I run much slower (15mph) the freeze occurs before I get to the bridge - weird! There's no AI stuff around as I pass one before I get to this point.

I'd never ran CR1 up till now but on doing so, I get the "send/don't send" before the activity even loads! I'm running GWR version 2.4.4

Looks like my problem may be more fundamental than I thought

If you have the GWR Version 2.3 CD, then delete your current GWR and re-install it up to 2.4.4. Dont run any utility that makes changes, such as compacting, etc.
