What happened to the Settle Carlisle Modern Activity which was on the downloads site earlier today?
I have downloaded all stock listed and now MSTS is reporting that it cannot find Arriva 156-1 stock.
Has it been withdrawn again?

It has appeared again. Has anyone else had problems with this activity?

A word of warning though - there are about 3 or so version of the class 156 dmu train for MSTS, The one i have is by Ben Laws and there are a couple of repaints on Steve Wellers class 156 as well. So its a matter of having the right one

. As far as the activity goes - it works fine on my MSTS installation

. Its a good activity as well. Could you do more of these modern era activitys and also include some Virgin Loco Hauled trains with class 47's etc ?.
In the maintime - thank you for making a good activity for MSTS

.
cheers

thanks for comment. it is interesting that yours works OK. I did download the 156 unit with the file number specified so I still cannot understand why it won't work.
By the way I assume that you are not addressing your compliments to me as I did not write the activity but it great to know that you enjoyed it. I agree that I would like to see more modern activities based upon the original S&C route.

Hi All,
As the author of the activity i feel obliged to put something here. The file disappeared and then re appeared becasue i uploaded a new file, which had to await moderation.
As for the error that some seem to be experiencing regarding the anc156-1.eng file, this was because in creating the activity i played for my own purposes with a revision i made myself of the class 156 (UKTS 8858)
However when finally considering the activity for upload, i deleted my ammended 156, and reverted to the "true" one in arcive 8858.
I found the exact same error several time on my computer, but went through the activity numerous times to ensure that there were no errors prior to uploading it.
I hope with the file that is now on the library, there is no errors. As for fixes, i don't know, A) Because my version shows no errors anymore and B) How does one delete a train that doesn't exist anymore! :S
Apologies for the inconvenience, and please don't give up on me yet!
Many Thanks
Graham Kendall

Sorted all my problems out now with Modern Activity.
Very enjoyable. With Railwaves Sprinter Sounds for the 156 together with the cab view recently added to the library the 156 unit sounds very impressive particularly with the revving up when it starts off.
Add the "clickery click" that Railwaves sounds also give to the route along with Raildriver unit plus headphones and I am away in my own little world.
