I've just noticed Mark Broadhurst's slip coach activity for the SMJ - last week I was fascinated by a long chapter on GCR/LNE slip coaches for the same area in a book called The GCR in LNER Days, Vol 2.

Highly recommended reading - whether you use Mark's activity or not.
