I wish I could create an activity......

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

I wish I could create an activity......

Post by Anonymizeruk »

but I cant..

OK, so I'll quite my Orville act, and get on with it :-)

Hi all. My first post here (long overdue I'm afraid)

OK, I have been using UKTS for about a year, and have a good couple of Gb worth of downloads. The only problem is, there is very little I can do with them, aside from exploring routes.

I seem to have a problem with the Activity editor (or should I say, have had the problem since I got train sim)

Everything seems to go OK, untill I try to save the activity. If I just use save, it tells me that some things havent been set-up, and the act is not playable.

So, I try the 'Compute & Save' option. This seems to do some working for a few seconds, and just exits to the desktop.

I have been trying to find a solution for over a year now, and still havent found one (typical of Microsoft not to support the editors!)

I was wondering if anyone can help out a little? Either by helping find a solution, or let me know if there are any alternative activity creation tools available?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You haven't filled in the briefing or the description.

There are two buttons on the right-hand side, just under the activity name. Press them, and put something in the box. Anything for starters, but ultimately the description appears whilst you are browsing the activities in msts, and the briefing appears at the start in the operations notebook.

The annoying thing is the activity would be playable without this, on the other hand the editor lets you save without a player service, and it certainly isn't playable like that!

you're welcome - and don't worry, as I said above it's not intutitive that these boxes have to be completed, nor does the error message help!
