The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Hi

In case anyone is wondering why there activity wont work, I have discovered in the consist file that the engine files it is looking for have been named wrong in it. Try using Conbuilder to fix it by deleting the engines (it says it can find unit) and put in the right ones. Looks like a great activity though, and it is nice to see SVR stock being used. I don't know whether a patch is needed or whether it works on other peoples computer, but these are the mods I have had to make.

Thanks Chris, I've took the file down for the moment. I guess Bluearrow have renamed the loco's I uploaded and the ones in the activity are from my machine. Can anyone tell me the name of the 4MT's at the bottom of the eng file then I might be able to do a Wordpad edit of the Act. file rather than having to download my own loco's and rewriting the activity. Thanks - Mark

I changed the two engines using MSTS Activity Analysis to the Following

Folder

BATS_BR_STD4T_80096
BATS_BR_STD4T_80122

Filename

BRStd4LG_264T_80096
BRStd4LG_264T_80122

Everything worked OK

Thanks for the activity
Enjoyed it very much
Only just made it up the hill though.

Yep - they're difficult to spot easily but if I remember correctly there's an extra "01" after LG and a hyphen rather than an underscore before the engine number (filenames) and BA_....... has been changed to BATS_....... in the folder name. Only needs changing in the consist file.

I guess these must be standard requirements by the BA team.

Nice model, nice reskin, nice route, nice activity :)

Good Morning
I had the same problem but followed your suggestions and the loco's are correct now
Problem is it still wont load and I believe it is to do with track, when installing the actiovity it said I have Type 172 but it is built on 1268
1. Would this be the problem
2. Do you know the File ID for the update
3. If I install will it mess up anything else. ie LBE/SVR/MidEast/Cambrain
According to the Microsoft screen its to do with
dwmdrivers.dat & dxdiag.txt
Any help appreciated
Regards

Hi

Installing on a different track database shouldn't matter, as long as you have the latest upgrades and patches. You do have the Blaenau extension dont you, as well as the SVR route?
