Hi

I want to run an AI train from a to b as a regular hourly service. For example from a to b and back again from b to a it takes an hour so if I have insert a train then it will block the train coming in that means everything goes wrong. So the ideal thing would be to have two trains going forwards and backwards without having to insert more traffic. Could u plz help me!!!!!!!!! (I am only a rookie by the way)

Thanks

Is this single or double track? AE doesn't like loops so you can start from A
and go to B but you'll find it dont always work going back unless on another track. More info please also which route is involved.

Thanks for the response. It's not a loop but an end to end route between two stations along a 40 mile double track (actually in Regional England add-on). I just want the same train to run up and down on the same schedule (boring I know) - but like real life!

Thanks

You'll have to do the whole journey with reverse points at each end. And you'll have to include every station stop in the timetable too. Not a great deal of trouble if it's two stations between each terminus, but a major headache if it's a 20 stop local train running back and forth 5 times!

Remember that it only needs to run for as long as the activity lasts, and you can't have traffic that goes for more than one 24 hour period (well 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds).

Why not create two services - one up, one down - and insert them into your traffic pattern to run every two hours for as long as you need, ensuring that each completes and hence disappears before the other starts.
