I keep getting lock ups on Pat Dalton's new Settle route. Specifically, the Carlisle express activity that comes with the CD.
It starts fine but then just freezes.
Any ideas please. (detail too high?)
Thanks,
Judith

Judith,
Both the part 1 and part 2 Carlisle express activities cause problems of one sort or another depending on the specification of one's PC. The author of these is bringing out a "lite" version.
Much discussion of this has taken place in other threads, it seems to be the AI trains. I deleted all the AI trains from part 1 and it loaded OK, but I got as far as the road overbridge just before Petterill Bridge Junc. and failed to load shape messages flashed up, yet the requested shapes are present in the route folder.
We await the "lite" versions.

yet another kind of problem
Dear all
On the express activity from Skipton to Carlisle I'm getting another strange problem. Every now and then my boiler pressure drops to about 42psi and my water level drops dramatically. Its happened three times before Blea Moor tunnel - sometimes it happens at the same spots, sometimes not.
If the water level drops to negative values then I get the fusible plug problem and thats the end of that. If the level is still in the glass I grind to a halt as the brakes go on from the low psi. If I'm really quick at shutting off steam I get to stop, blow up (as in get the boiler pressure back up!) and proceed. Strangely enough, when I try and replicate the problem at a spot where it has happened before, I find that if I shut off steam I can coast along, but the minute I open the regulator the pressure and water level drop again.
This has only ever happened to me in this activity. Any thoughts - part of the general overload with this activity? engine file?
cheers
Greg
