Just a brief note to let you all know I have just uploaded the first of what I hope will be three activities for the Europeanbahn London to Brighton route featuring the First Great Western Class180 Adelante by Ben Laws.
It has had only limited testing, so any bug reports here please or on the Europeanbahn site.

Thanks Alan - I think it was because this thread had moved down the list and was empty so i didnt see it in the dark. Now its back up the top again I can see it fine.
Cant see any comments about the activities however.
Where oh where are all those people that kept asking me to do them?
BTW if anyone is waiting for the third in the series, its being a real B to get working. I picked the 17:07 Victoria to Brighton, right in the middle of the rush hour with absolutely stacks of AI traffic, almost 2 a minute. But unfortunately there are some pretty major bugs that I have already spent over 20 hours trying to fix. Its getting there but wont be ready for a couple of weeks.

2 a minute - yikes - you're in danger of getting services starting on top of each other, or two in the same block - you are most likely violating the 4 signal rule (ie when you start an AI service it should be 4 signals away from a previous service) - that is probably what is causing the problem, the signalman can't cope!

thats certainly part of the trouble, Ive had trillions of derailments caused by stock starting on top of another. Trouble is I used the actual timetable, then because Victoria, Clapham and East Croydon still seemed deserted I add a stack of local services so between Victoria and Battersea you see about 7 services in both directions and at Clapham there are services arriving at most platforms when you arrive. Then the latter part of the timetable was too easy so i added a blocker or two. Then because the AI trains often cannot keep to the real timetable, other services which should be safe suddenly conflict. Then there was static consists, stuff in sidings etc and suddenly i had created a monster which is being a pig to troubleshoot.
It actually looks pretty good now (it should after 30 + hours of actual development time), but its got a way to go before it'll be ready for public consumption.

The percentage of feedback from activities, routes, or whatever uploaded is very very low. In allmost 2 years I've uploaded 50 activities which adds up to a staggering 15,370 on the download count. Yet I've only had a bout 7 or 8 feedback comments about them!Lad491 wrote:bump

true xpte - im lucky i guess, I have 4 or 5 people who regularly write and tell me what they thought of the activity, but i find it sad, and a touch ungrateful, when even the person who specifically asked me to write the activity for them doesn't even say thanks. Most activities I do now are at the request of others, since myself I have enough for the LBE route to keep me happy, so to those who do tell me what they thought i say thanks, I can only improve if people tell me where im going wrong.

thanks for that thames. the 0932 activity is really just a rehash of the original with the 180 unit, but the second was completely new as is the final one im working on. Personally I dont like the 180 unit myself either, I only did the activities in response to a request.
If I can ever get the final one to work, maybe you will like that better, absolutely tons of AI traffic and stuff to see, but at the moment it still has some pretty serious bugs to overcome.

Further to my comments you picked up on another thread. I only bought LBE last week and quickly bought the Add on.
I have now downloaded all your activities since you pointed out that most ran on the original stock list. I am OK to load the ones for the original LBE even though I have upgaded to the add on? One activitity, not necessarily yours, I have unpacked seems to cause MSTS to crash. so I am wary.
Rest assured I will be commenting on your activities when I have run a few. As I have no idea how to write an activity I appreciate all your and other activity creators efforts. Thanks.

Hi Kreader. As far as I am aware all the activities for v1.1 of the route will work fine on v1.2 (the add pack). I think all should install ok, ive not had reports from anyone of problems. One activity (8a) still has a problem if you arrive early at Brighton, which I havent been able to fix yet, but ive not had any reports of any other problems.am OK to load the ones for the original LBE even though I have upgaded to the add on?
