Additional Activities for NWE V3

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Just downloaded activity and there are 3 files missing. You said in your read me that no additional files were required.

#Class105_DMBS_M50756_BRBf.eng
Class105_TCL_M59311_BRBf.wag
#Class105_DMCL_M50789_BRBf.eng

Are these available from UKTS, I have had a quick search with no luck.

Thanks in advance

Gary.
Sorry Gary,
My Bad :(
I'd completely forgotten those files were only contained in the earlier Activity.
I'll also issue them in a Patch, so hopefully that will act as a 'catch all' situation.

Hope you enjoy the activity, and that I've not caused you too much angst.

Again, apologies.

Terry

No need for apologies, just grateful that you continue to work on your routes and create activities.

All the best

Downloaded but not run yet.
By the way, the previous Latimer seemed to run fine in OR.

I've already run them in OR - no apparent problems. Haven't tried them with MSTS yet.
I very seldom use MSTS to run activities, they look so much better in OR with the better graphics and lack of crashes.

Indeed they do Dennis!

I'm contemplating whether my next few will be designed for OR; as there are a few areas that I cannot run on NWE in MSTS!

Hi Geoffrey,

I have run some of your previous activities in OR without any problems. Like Dennis I very rarely run activities in MSTS for the same reasons. OR also has the advantage of using extra functions such as ai traffic coupling and uncoupling either to itself or the player train, weather changes and using turntables to name three.

I've just installed Latimer's Return and OR reported a problem with texture 4MT_42085_04_LC.ace. TGA Tools also could not load it.

However, Route Riter did manage to convert it to TGA and then TGA Tools successfully converted it to ACE. This was also a problem with 4MT_42073_04_LC.ace which also responded to the same corrective action.

Have I somehow got a corrupt copy of these textures? The size was 944KB before correction and 1,238KB afterwards.

Now to run the activity.

Hi Dennis,
No problem with 42085 using X3836 and X3845.
The file size is 944KB and TGATools opens it without any problem.

From my experience, you might have a corrupted download - have you tried re-downloading the NWE Patch #6?

Cheers,
Ged
