Spads and Temporary Speed restrictions.

The MSTS Activity Editor allows you to make your own activities, or missions, for the player to complete. This is also how you can get lots of other trains running while you drive yours!

Spads and Temporary Speed restrictions.

Post by GilbertsFridge »

I'm experimenting with activities on the Woodhead Route and have struct a problem. I keep finding temporary speed restrictions of 0mph. These are nowhere to be found in the activity editor so I have increased the temp speed restriction in the route editor to 220mph (to be on the safe side). This makes no difference.

I have also found that this seems to happen after passing a signal at red. Rather than the activity ending, it seems to reduce the track speed to 0mph, which causes the over speed indicator to kick in most annoyingly. Has anyone else found this? Is there a cure?

Have you tried downloading the fixes, only the second fix is necessary if you have not done the first fix, Woodhead originally had problems which have been sorted on my pc by the fix. the fixes are available on this site.
a marvellous route now it is all bug free.

I had that heading westwards immediately before Woodhead tunnel. There are three signals close together, the last one hidden by a bridge. So you are bowling along at 60 when all of a sudden bosh, green, yellow red in quick succession and the 0mph speed limit comes up. No end of activity for spadding though. I wanted to put a temp 40mph limit in there but apparently thats not possible. Just have to use the (rapidly) fading memory.
