MSTS Activity creator
Just wondering what I've done wrong. I've recently installed MSTS on a new PC with a monitor running at 1900x1200 resolution. MSTS Bin & MSTS Screens & widgets are both installed.
I am trying to set up a new activity but the screen display prevents me adding "new" in the traffic because the 'failed signals' part of the screen overlaps. I can't drag the edges out to make this visible.
Anyone else had the same problem & if so how was it fixed?

Moved here, as it's not a screenshot!

I think the maximum size the editor can run at is 1024 x 768

Re: MSTS Activity creator
any chance you could maybe post a screenshot so I can understand what is happening?
I'm running on a widescreen 1920*1080 monitor here on Windows 7 with no problems.
I'm just opening up the Activity Editor myself (just chose my DC miniroute (big mistake!)) and there does appear to be no way to remove/resize the failed signal section, although it does seem to be a fixed width to fit along the bottom of the route window.

Re: MSTS Activity creator Query update
I don't think the 1024 x 768 issue is a problem - my old lap top ran higher than this & it worked well. Sorry but I am a posting virgin!! I have generated a jpg screen shot, but how do I post it!

Re: MSTS Activity creator
The easiest way is to create an atomic album account via the link at the top of the forums index then follow the instructions. Its a great way to store photos, screenshots etc and uploading pictures to websites is achieved by posting a single line of text in the correct format as per instructions. Good luck. Dave.
EDIT Sorry, forgot to mention this method requires you to be a premium account holder, which is a good idea in its own right without the added benefits of the atomic album. And, of course, there are other web-based photo hosting sites offering similar facilities.

Re: MSTS Activity creator
hmm - very strange.
I'm wondering if it's a font issue, but by changing the Window font (in control panel, display setting, appearance I think in XP), I am unable to replicate it.

Re: MSTS Activity creator
Could well be a font size issue if the settings have been changed away from default. I run at 1600 * 900 native resolution and this is what I see when I open the editor.

Re: MSTS Activity creator
And after going into the display properties and selecting settings then pressing the advanced button I moved the font size from 96 DPI (normal) to 120 DPI (large) and lo and behold what happened next in activity editor (note reboots are required in Windows XP to do this).

Kindest regards

Re: MSTS Activity creator
Very many thanks to all who have responded on this query.
As I suspect is the norm the Forum has provided the answer - it was indeed a font issue in the display settings. Change that back to "normal" and, after the obligatory reboot, all is as it should be.
I now have the screens displaying perfectly.
Again many thanks who took the time & trouble to comment, to post screen shots, to tell me how to load my own screen shots and and, above all, for coming up with a solution. I am very grateful. Thank you.

Glad we've been able to help.
It's also nice to find out that things have been resolved to a user's satisfaction - so often you here nothing after giving advice.
