would it be possible for future mk3 coaches that are reskinned to use the mk3 coach sounds as the sounds are very realistic. i have been in the process of changing the sound sms file from genpassenger to mk3coach.

This is a community of over 15,000 forum members ... so i highly doubt its going to be pratical for everyone todo as you say, just because you want 'x' sounds on 'x' item.
Are all 15,000-odd people going to have the mk3 sounds? doubtful. We have to use Logic and practicality.
And lets face it - its not going to take more than 5 minutes to re-alias a download to some new sounds - not taking up a lifetime

Sounds and appearance tend to be personal in so far as what is acceptable to one ear/eye is not acceptable to the other.
Some of my earlier posts referred to similar items of stock using quite different CabViews and Sounds - in particular some early items used defaults from the original MSTS. In addition it is not unusual for some simmers to be more interested in appearance rather than sounds and performance.
I would therefore suggest that once you have selected an acceptable sound for an item of stock - such as Modern Mk3 Coach - you take advantage of the tutorials that clearly show how to alias your preferred sounds and cabviews, either to the individual stock folder or the common.sound/common.cab folders.
It is a very worthwhile exercise as it will give you an insight into the workings of stock items within MSTS, and this approach has certainly helped me.
