CentreOfGravity and coupling

Post by krausyao »

The CentreOfGravity element can be used to correct for shapes that are not centered and result in uneven coupling when flipped.

For example, a shape with Min Z = -11.33 and Max Z = 11.245 would have

CentreOfGravity ( 0m 1.9m -0.0425m )

where Z = ( Min Z + Max Z ) / 2, -0.0425 = ( -11.33 + 11.245 ) / 2

See http://forums.flightsim.com/vbts/showth ... p?t=285843 for more details.

What information in particular are you looking for? The class 57 model referred to is centered on the Z-axis and does not require this fix.

Hi Jeff
I see .... I wonder why it moves away from the stock... when the other cab is selected under the bin patch.
I thought it might be like flipping the loco.?
