very nice it'd be nicer if the TDM cables were'nt there i dont think 86401 had them when in service on the cobblers

Looked on fotopic and couldn't find a picture without them on, even in all the liveries it has recieved.

(That is just a selection of photos i could find).

I did also find this photo which shows the loco without the TDM cables so you are actually correct in sayinng that the loco didn't have them at one point in its carrier.

aah is there any chance you could do the early version before uni ties you up again :lol:

it was the first 86 to be fitted with TDM for pushpull trials iirc possibly on the great eastern cause by the time the Mk3 DVT's came into force 86401 had already lost its NSE livery for Parcels livery.

They where fitted for pushpull trials with DVT on WCML Intercity era 1st.

oh, ok. i can remember it pushing stock when in Parcels sector livery but never NSE mmm

And i can remember that too,but all the testing with TDM was done on WCML 1st

yep, never saw one in service with scotrail though. saw em first at Stratford personally think there better looking than the MK3 DTV
