Re: BR Black King Arthur
After getting a new drawing this week-end (complete with notes) I find that there is an error in the tender of this one - only 1 brake pedestal should have been fitted and not 2. I'll do a reskin as 799 " Sir Ironside" with the corrected tender, with a note to transfer the tender shape file to 800 - but it won't be for a week or two......

Re: BR Black King Arthur
Danny, you know my comments on your locos, so just to repeat myself again on this thread. Keep up the good work, you are making a lot of people very happy with what you produce. Is there any chance (when you find time) to do a few more Unrebuilt Merchant Navy's and maybe some Rebuilt versions?
There are plenty of WC & BOB from Bats, but the MNs are pretty scarce for MSTS.

Re: BR Black King Arthur
Hello, I`ve been catching up on this section, and I`d like to second what Michael has said. The King Arthur series are very much appreiciated, they are superb models. thanks Danny. I`m excited by the prospect of a 700, it was a real workhorse: and L1 (some were transferred to the Western section -as in LSW of course) Oh and a LN nearly complete. Forgive my ignorance, but is anyone doing a superheated T9? They did quite a lot of goods work as well as local passenger, and were even loaned to the central and se divisions of the ex SR. Would a weathered ex- Feltham S15 be an easy mod? {from the N15)
As a route builder, news of such high quality models, really does give encouragement.
Thanks again
Rick

Re: BR Black King Arthur
It certainly is great to see all these new southern models appearing but there are still some gaps. A new T9 model would be nice as well as S15,s 700,s and several others. I want to find something to model after my LN is complete, but haven't decided what yet. Any ideas? anybody got any nice plans for southern locos?

I think you'll get plenty of ideas Richard, but the trouble is you can't possibly do 'em all! That LN is looking good by the way.Any ideas?
I have an oil burning N15 to do next, which shouldn't take that long, but I've promised (after a couple of requests!

Re: BR Black King Arthur
Looking forward to the rebuilt mn's Danny, I did start one once but never got far at all. I am coming round to the Idea of doing a T9 if I can find some good plans. Should be easier than the LN as well, what with much of the valve gear hidden and an altogether more simple shape.

Re: BR Black King Arthur
Thanks Geoff, but as I said it is all dependent on finding some good info on the T9's and so if anybody has plans it would be nice to see them to see if the prospect of building one is viable. Of course I wont start until I have completed the Nelsons and the number of different variations I want to do.

A T9 gets my vote! A very useful engine. Although why the SR used them so much on goods is a mystery. The large wheels reduced the wagon loads they could handle, and yet their small wheeled cousins were scrapped early. Be wary of the tender parings: the narrow splasher versions mostly having the small tender (but I expect you know already) I will have a look and PM if I can find any drgs
While we on the subject of SR loco gaps what about the LBSC K class? a handsome beast, simpler valve gear and it also did some passenger work. I`d better shut up, as I feel a bit of an intruder on this section of the forum - back to route building!
Cheers Rick
