Afraid not. I'm very busy at the moment so it won't be imminent. It will be ready when it's ready :)

The DMS is now pretty much there - some tweaking to the interior required as well as touching up of paintwork:

Thanks, Jon.

I've got a question for the 116 experts out there: I can only find one photo of the third batch of trailers which shows it as a true TC - all the rest appear to be TS. Were some of the TCs ever downgraded to TS? Unless I've missed something on http://www.railcar.co.uk I'm not very clear about this and would be grateful for any assistance.

A Tyseley 2-car set working slightly off the beaten track... seen here at Aristotle Lane north of Oxford:

hi there yerkes

yes i know some of the cardiff canton sets had some TC from 117 units transfered to canton from reading and they were downgraded to 2nd class only not sure what sets they were put into but i think it could have been any crash damaged TS's

but i think most class 116 tcs were downgraded after refurbishment.

Thanks very much, Nigel. I'll just do a second-only trailer.

Hi Michael,

As far as I can make out, all the Class 116 trailers started out as TCs, but downgrading commenced in the late 70s until all ended up as TSs. I think that the late influx of class 117 and 127 trailers to Tyseley muddied the water somewhat. A clue to spotting a bonafide 116 trailer is that none were built with a loo.

Looking forward to these... :D

...meaning a pretty tough ordeal for these passengers - http://fenlandfotos.fotopic.net/p38885357.html

Nice work Michael. I got to the stage of building, but never actually put a loco in MSTS. Very good attempt for your first model. :)
