Network SouthEast Coaches

Post by LeeEAS »

Well, with so many people wondering where the NSE Mk2s went I though I would try and do some replacements, unfortunately I've only done the Mark 1 TSO so far, once again thanks to Ian Morgan for permission to upload, however I'm still unsure about the colour...

Good to see this work in progress. I feel the colours are too saturated - the blue should be more pale and the red more pink. Having said that, I found it extremely difficult to get the right tones/shades in my model of 50032; the original NSE colours were much brighter than the later versions, and sunshine made a big difference to the appearance!

Cheers for the tip, I had a go at changing the colours, this is what I got:

EDIT - Oh and here are the coaches behind your 50032 reskin, hopefully it will give a better idea whether the colours are right...

Hi Guys,

Stop it, you're bringing memories flooding back, I used to travel from home in London and later in Christchurch to boarding school in Worcestershire and I saw a lot of NSE 50s and 47s. Happy days.

The model is now complete, with exception to one small detail; a missing coach number...

I got the coach number for the RR coach from a photo, but I can't find any details of Mk1s that received NSE livery. :-?

Anyone help? Then I will be able to upload.

I'd need to get a book or two out of my attic - could do that after work tonight, unless someone else gets in first.
