improved class 150/1 sprinter dmu

Post by nigeldarl5 »

hi all
has anyone done or going to do an improved version of the class 150/1 dmus as the current ones seem very boxy lookin and not like 150273RR which even though is a 150/2 looks better ?

Thank You for asking. Unfortunately, no-one has plans for 150/1 model at the moment. Making Tracks was to to introduce 150/1 a year or so back, but I cannot see any further developments since then. :(

Bumping up regarding 150's assuming the era of MTs Donationware North wales coast is set late 70's early 80's i can only assume a 150 maybe on the cards.

MT's? Think you'll find otherwise... http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewforum.php?f=262

The stocklist has been released - and it's entirely first gen units - 150s weren't around in the early 80s.

its a shame really.

154001 and 154002 were around in 1985-86 iirc or before, they are now 150001 and 150002 and both units near enough toured the country.

You can actully do 150/0 with Class 317 TSO centre car added, but DMS and DMSL would have to be resized to match a centre car. (Class 317 are also the same size of Kerr's 150/2.) Renaming the ace file or make a folder for each car may be a good idea if you wish to include a toilet on DMSL.

iirc, if you look closely at the 150/1 and 150/2 the design is somewhat different

317's although the same size are marginally different.

yes, sadly the 150/1s have no gangwayed ends - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... inster.JPG
where 150/2s do - http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... pswich.JPG

so using 317s (and the like) centre cars wont do much as the 150/1s were only two car anyway (150/0s of which two exist (001 & 002) are the three car units (all other ex CT 150/0s use a 150/2 car sandwiched in a 150/1. if that makes sense)
