I think in BR/Inter City era's, correct me if I'm wrong, it was just a straight rake of SLEP/SLE with a BG one end and MK2F FO's on the other with a MK1 or MK3 Buffet.

I think reproducing a caledonian set would require a lot of work on the Mk2 & Mk3 sets...

I found it on Wikpedia as the only Mk.3's stock I know of is the stock currently used by GNER on their HST's. I found the formations with the Mk.1 and Mk.2 stock to be complete, just wondering how many more coaches are there to be released for the pack. The search on wikipedia being for Mk.1 Coaching Stock and if you look towards the bottom, it shows all the coaching stock for Mk.1's to Mk.3's with non passenger stock as well.

I know the Highland Mainline was download only before, I presume the cd will have stock, activities etc as usual.

Rakes did vary abit, well on the Highland Mainline anyway, like so...

http://whitemasksnaps.fotopic.net/p42505656.html (two coaches at the end).

I have just seen an IC sleeper there witha a white roof, so I may do that next.

You may need to renumber these....

The SLE were numbered 10646 - 10735 and the SLEP numbered 10500 - 10645

Robert
IIRC the white roofed Mk3 Sleepers formed an Inter City 'touring' rake with similarly liveried Mk1 FKs, which was used in the 80's, early 90's. I Remember seeing it in Inverness, running a London-Thurso-Kyle-London tour.

There were only three BFOs.
They were built for the Blackpool service to replace the BG and increase the first class accomodation without lengthening the set.

The COs were for the Scotrail push pull service. They were converted back to firsts when they were replaced with 158s.

Hopefully MT will include one on the Scottish Capitals Express route.

The sleepers were identical externally. They had built in tail lamps. They were never cleaned and rarely used.

I've never heard of a TSOB.

Hi
Very, very nice re-skins Robert :P Thanks
According to the Wiki TSOB are some sort of conversion by ONE (of course the Wiki can always be wrong)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Mark_3

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourist_St ... pen_Buffet

Tourist Standard Class Open with trolley service is possibly nearer the mark... TSOTS........

I seem to rember reading about these, because the platforms were too short on the GE ?

Cheers

Ian,

Do you reckon that someone somewhere in MSTS land will release a BFO in Blue-Grey, Intercity and Virgin livery, :-?

No.

Unless you ask that nice Mr Court to remove some seats and put in the guard's compartment walls

My models are just repaints.
The interior is wrong.

As Ian noted above, there were only 3 of these (17173-17175), pretty sure they were new in InterCity livery.......I believe FGW have 2 if not all 3 of them now for use on the Penzance sleeper now.

Just a slight correction, the first batch only went up to 10619 (10620-10645 were cancelled IIRC), also 10734/5 became part of the Royal Train as 29xx (again IIRC).

I wonder if anyone has thought of doing a sleeper 'interor' at all?

I know it would require a chance to the model (for which I am happy to admit my lack of ability to do this!), but would really finish them off a treat.

Cheers
