314 Re-skin and now 313 too... (WIP)

I present a 313 in original BR Blue & Grey

Ok..ok...I couldn't give up.

I wanted to be able to do some 80s/90s acts on Glasgow Carlisle, but the place was suffering from a lack of Orange. I'd sidelined these during the summer due to a mapping issue, but in the end I thought what the hell and hopefully soon these will be available for upload.



Unless I can mimic the font used in the "transclyde" era, this really is the end!

Thanks to Steve Enefer (Cheers buddy!) , this really is the end! Steve hand-drew the Transclyde logo for me. The logo is slightly smaller than in real life, but this is due to mapping issues which can't be resolved.



So that really is it, last of the liveries. I'm not sure whether to upload it on its own or chuck it in with the other blue/grey models already uploaded.

Now to find something else to have a go at and hopefully learn even more about this fine art...

Both the Trans-clyde and Orange Black versions have been uploaded now. Barring any further tweaks or new liveries, that really is it for the 314s. The liveries mean I now have a choice of units for acts from 1979 to the current day. Hope activity writers can find a place for them in any future Glasgow-Carlisle acts. If any act writers need help choosing a certain unit for a particular time period, I'd be happy to advise on the best ones to use.

The 313 I did may be updated in the future as I'm messing about with a 508 coach that Ciaran did, and could use that with the 313 middle car and therefore the 313 will have the 3rd rail pick-up and look more authentic.

Rather than create a new thread, thought I'd add to one of my old ones.

After I had released the 314s, there came a further amendment to the Carmine Livery. All SPT branding on the 314s (and most other units) was removed in 2008 and I decided to complete the set.


It's got a different running number to the other units, as well as a different destination (they still run to Gourock ) and I darkened the side of the unit where the logo used to be so it's got that 'just removed' look to it.

I'm testing it at the moment and hope to upload it soon.
