I know about them, Ian.....but I've created custom length spacers so that the tram can "bump" another tram without them doing a ghostly merge, or "bumping" with 10 ft of fresh air between them.

To take us back to where we came in..

This is the loco in the first post on the same curve (30 degree NG tramway curve, but with x2 scale stock (18" gauge on 3' gauge X tracks) and therefore apparently twice as sharp. The loco has an invisible cube added on each axle centre which are respectively groups bogie1 and bogie2. I have not touched anything else and she now follows this very sharp curve. The rolling stock is coupled with tow bars (as on the Horwich prototype) because the corners of adjacent stock would collide on such bends.
