Looks good but 47840 has now been removed from the side leaving just the D number

Thanks Matt
Arhhh......thats history in the making. :D .
I'll leave it in it's mainline condition though........be more useable to members.
I wonder whether they'll eventually remove the headlights, the cantrail line and replace the modern overhead flashes?
I hope not......I like it as it is... shes more unique at the moment.

Not sure where your thinking comes from? It did one railtour (and only half of it at that!) and a few moves on the WSR in its mainline condition - it'll do a fair few more trips up and down the WSR in its current condition yet before back-conversion :P

Still, leave it as it is :)

Very nice work Jon! I saw and photographed the real thing at Williton Diesel Depot on Friday next to the resident Hymek D7017. Obviously freshly painted, it looked as glossy as a newly-painted glossy thing! If you wanted to model D1661 as it currently is on the WSR, you might just want to enable the old specular lighting.

Hi
Should be simple enough to texture out the 47840 numbers, for those that want to.
The model is 'shiney'........proberbly just doesn't look it in the screenshots.
Been having some major mapping problems.......I don't think Ian ever intended the 47 to be green.
So I've tried a different model, but that too has issues.....I remember now why I abandoned my last green 47 re-paint.
47077 in blue would be a totally different model,I was going to say only the nameplate would be the same.... but even that would be red.
Anyway here's what it looks like after 17hrs work.
