Hi Pete, Thanks for reply. stupid as it may sound I already have it in my trainset, found since posting this item but did'nt realise it was hanging train set when trying to play Peterborough semi fast.
Following is going to sound even more stupid.
since 05:00 this morning I have installed every diesel, steam, passenger
& freight item for the activity Peterborough semi fast, All 42 & the 3 Bats engines one by one, adding cab & sound as Instructed AND trying them out before going onto the next one. they all come up with loads of wag, eng, erors etc when loading but they all work in other routes. With all activities I've tried so far when you fire up the activity there's the train ready to go. I wonder with this activity whether I have to build the consists myself.
Thanks for your time

Check the error messages very carefully. Is the activity looking for $ or # versions of the locos? If so you may have to create them for yourself - use Route-Riter.

Paul,
Do you have Route-Riter? If not, download it from
http://members.optusnet.com.au/virtualt ... loads.html install it, read the help file about creating # locos and away you go.
# locos are specially adjusted locos for use in traffic consists. The steam ones are especially necessary since if you use normal locos in traffic consists, the wheels go much too fast (an MSTS bug).
Good luck. Let us know how you get on.

Hello again,
Your link above is coming up with an error, but no matter I have route riter anyway latest version for XP & vista. Have'nt installed my vista yet, bit wary.
Back to route Riter, it does,nt work for me, not user friendly at all. comes up with loads of column entries for wag files that need correcting and I start going through them, just looking without touching any keys and then it crashes back to desktop and I have to start again. Where do I get Conbuilder from please? maybe I might get on better with that.
Many thanks
Paul

Hello Again, posted this in wrong section.
Today I have again installed a freshset of rolling stock for the above activity without entering the APK FILE into tsunpack.exe. Wanted to see if stock worked first, and it does, the stock is now working in the UK1 Route. Every solitary item loads and runs perfectly, no warning messages, no crashes. I thought to myself, GREAT cracked it! Now lets run it for real. installed APK by dragging overtsunpack.exe. ( Double click does'nt work for me ) It accepted the activitity, I closed down MSTS restarted and selected activity and guess what? screen went berserk with
wag. eng. fles etc, etc all with # symbols which some fellow helper mentioned, and MSTS crashed to the desktop.
Desperately need help. thanks
Regards
Paul

You won't get it to run if you don't have the # locos. Take your time and get Route-Riter working - it does work for a lot of people. Then create the # locos and the activity should work (unless you're missing something else).
The other option is to use Conbuilder or Activity-Analyser to swap the # locos for normal ones (which you appear to have).

Hi, thanks for reply. have moved this subject to Activity creation section,
this post was a mistake. If you look at the other section I've posted a lot more info regarding this problem. routeriter keeps crashing with runtime error message and when it does it's totally confusing. I thought nearly six days ago when I first saw Peterborough semi fast, that looks great , has all the rolling stock for the activity, load it up and away you go. But this ones turning into a nightmare.
have posted on the other section how far i've progressed, ifyou can call my efforts progress. but with the help of you guys out their learn a bit more each time. thanks to everybody for that.
