Im reskinning a DMU but I noticed that at night the interior doesnt light up. Is there a way to activate the internal light without altering the model files?

Thanks.

Out of interest what is it ?

But in short, it depends if there is an interior
If its like for instance my 170's where any interior effect is just texturing on the 'windows' then no, you are b*ggered.
If its like the Voyager which has a real interior in it then you have a chance.
You'd need to run the .s file through the interior and edit the matierial specs to become "bright".

I won't go on until you describe which type of situation you are dealing with.

EDIT: I'm not trying to suggest that you are reskinning anything I may have done, just using 2 of my models to illistrate the possible differences in issue.

Its Steven Wellers 150. It has a full interior but there's just no lights on inside so its realy dark.

Ok,

So the problem is to do with the material properties for the polys that are inside.
Use the shape manger application (availible on this site) and open the .s file and select the texture mode option.
You should see a table appear with a list of part names down the left, and radio buttons to the right.
You need to pick the right parts, and give them the correct material property.
The part names are down the the way Steve named them, so it might take some guessing to get the right parts.
Also to pick the correct property might take some experimentation too, the setting would depend what the part was etc...But you need to be setting interior parts to xxxxbright, the exact setting depends on what the part includes, like windows etc...

Im going to have to contact Steven about which parts are which, cos there's just one huge list of parts called '1 Group', '2 Group' etc, so I dont know what is what
