The KESR Pack is worth getting for a Yankee Tank if you need one. It's the KESR cabs that are a bit naff, as they haven't been photographed properly.

Just the cabs?

I was very disappointed with that add on, the majority of the locos and stock wasnt that great, my copy didnt come with any loco sounds what so ever and the track texture was the default track textures... and when i tried going onto the websites that were mentioned on the manual i found the links didnt even work.
Ah well... only £20...

Maybe it doesn't come with decent track, but it is easily replaced, and if they have forgotten sounds on all CDs, well...again, should be fixable.

Despite funny cabs, no sounds, default track and slightly dodgy stock, it's not the worst add on ever by any means. No offence, but I think that honour (unintentionally) went to Trainsim Roundhouse. :(

But i thought Roundhouse was released a long long time ago....

KESR was only released in 2006....

I know, it was released in 2002, but things worth correcting could have been decent cabs and sounds for the Deltic, and maybe more than 1 steam loco.

That's what dissapointed me straight away - just the one steamer included, and it was American. :o

But im sure some of the models on that have been bettered on new addons or downloads so there was no need to improve them if they needed to be.... and if i remember that was only a stock pack which didnt cost as much as £20!
I was expecting KESR to be of the standards of the other preserved add ons that have been released... but sadly i wasnt that impressed, i do hope a patch is made available sometime in the future for the add on... but i cant see that happening sadly. :(

Was KESR made by a specialist MSTS team, or was it devised by someone who just thought it a good idea?

Just a thought, because if it wasn't made by people well known, it might explain the several errors and silly things like the default track. I'd be surprised if it had been made by BATS for example! :o

No idea im afraid, i think i read somewhere it was made by someone to do with the railway, but im not so sure.
When i first got the add on i was pleased to see there were 25 activites... but none had any AI stock, so sadly this is one add on that remains hardly used and uninstalled from my MSTS.

I'm sure a talented designer could make an excellent USA Tank :)

I read in Heritage Railway, 1 of the guys who used ot work for Kuju is a fireman on the K&ESR and he worked on both MSTS and K&ESR add-on, so I suppose it was a specialist team who knew what they were doing.

Hi Guys.

Found this and remembered a thread about USA tanks here so thought I would post. Looks like a stock pack with USA tanks and some 15inch locos. See Bubbles Raiwlays website:
