Afraid not, though l did move this old Gmax model into Max to begin reworking last week

Image

Pretty dated and appalling by todays standards but parts of it may be salvageable, it'll need a reworked body with 3D windows and reworked bogie's etc.

I did mange some class 60 bogies last week whilst winded off at work but no further on that score either l'm afraid.

I've a plane contract that must be done by end Dec so thats slowing train stuff right now.

Get too it Michael. I take it it's a 26.

What we badly need a 24/25 with a correct roof profile.

Ian,

Your right it is a class 26 and the 24/25 is in the pipeline....as are a few others LOL.

Below is a list of the initial first batch, the class 26 and 44/45/46 are supposed to be in the second batch but l got bored and dragged over the class 26 last week :).

Class 20
Class 24/25
Class 37
Class 40
Class 47/57
Class 55 Deltic
Class 56
Class 58
Class 60

Apart from minor details like cab seats and benches the class 37, 40, 58 are all done model wise, class 56 and 60 bogies are done and await bodies, if l have some spare time today l may clean the class 26 body up and cut the windows etc and post a render tonight.

Best

Hi Micheal.

Your engines are fantastic. Nice to see a class 26 being done. Are these engines part of a stock pack or part of a route?

Havent a clue really, the fingers just start tapping and out they spit, l only do it when the urge is strong, l've long since worked out that forcing yourself to model gives shoddy results, so like blue whales l deep dive interest bubbles for weeks and do nothing then surface, make four or five models then disappear again :).

I really have too many interests to keep on top of it all, apart from planes ( which is a business, though l am slowly winding that down as l've no interest in FSx ) l like ships and am toying with one or two, either as scenery for a MSTS docks route or for FS as landable scenery, mostly merchant ships, so that little interest bubble fills my spare time these last few days....read collected 2500 tanker and bulker images off the web over the last ten days LOL.

Back on topic, l think they will go into a pack for BATs but some may be split out as individuals for other projects, some will be freeware, probably one version of the class 40 and 37, maybe the 58, they will probably be simplified over the payware versions like the BATs 225 etc. Then again I might have one of my tantrums and upload the whole lot for free LOL, l honestly dont know right now, just keeping all my options open.

They are destined for MSTS, not KRS, target poly count is 18 / 20,000 per loco so what ever you can cram into that limit is what you'll get.

My personal feeling is one of each as a freeware then the rest in a BATS pack, I like everything in one place, aliased and ready to go....lazy git that I am

I think you should aim to get a bit of cash for your work though, they do look great!

Brilliant, Have been looking forward to one of these for ages, being lazy I have never bothered to build one, a bit silly really considering its a fave of mine.

Should expand the old fleet nicely methinks.

I think Mark Shipman's models have served us well for 5 years and only recently we've seen new models of the 37, Deltic and 40, I think the 37 and 40 are a difficult model to replicate because of the three windows need to be right otherwise they will look odd, but Mark got it bang on.

I'll always be a fan of his 37's they are just so perfect!!! real shame about him having to give up.

When you look at what's coming in 2007:-

EH2
Mickoo's locos
Chris Baily's Packs
MT stock packs
E-Rail popping out some nice models
Dutch train design filling some gaps
Scottish Capital Express Route

I think MSTS will be around for a while yet...

Don't forget European Bahn will be very very busy since they have more routes for us such as:

London Paddington to Bristol "Great Western Main Line"
Midland Mainline
West Coast Main Line

If you go onto their homepage, you see the banner advertising these routes at the bottom of the page.
