More help required for a clueless newby!!!!

I am repainting the Royal Scot supplied with trainsim into BR green and wish to repaint the exLMS stock and put the Scot onto the front on Mk1s.

How do I edit the consists????

All the editing programme says is that "....you use this editor to edit the computer controlled traffic..." but I can't get access to "local service (traffic)", "local service (traffic01)" or "local service (traffic02)" to edit the consists.

Help!!!!!

You need to use the activity editor.

Have a look at the "beginner's guide" tutorial on UKTS - second page, half way down specifically mentions how to get into the consist editor.

Thanks for the help, guys.

I know how to use the consist editor, I have created my own consists before. That is not the problem.

The "Pieces of traffic" in the S&C Local Service actitity are "local service (traffic)", "local service (traffic01)" and "local service (traffic02)".

When I go into the Services Editor, the Consist Drop down window does not include these to allow me to edit them.

I am sure that this is only me as a "clueless nimby" doing something stupid that is blindingly obvious to you experienced guys.

Pieces of traffic appear in the "traffic" list bottom right, a traffic (TRF) file is a list of all the services, starting times and other information to make the AI trains run. Choose the "local service (traffic)" and press edit. This will bring up the service editor, with all services. You can't see the AI services in the service on the main screen, because that only shows player services.

If you are going to make changes rather than just look, press "use as template" rather than edit, it will make a new copy and let you edit that, preserving the original.

i think i know where ya coming from on that thing about consists. you want to change what train{consist} works a service, right? well if ya done all ya re-painting then creat a new consist {ie royal scoot and coaches} then go to select the service you want to edit and change the consist for you're new one{i think, but its almost right}

It is at first, but not once you get into it. :)

Perhaps I'm not good at explaining things - particularly that early in the morning!
