Class 334 [Juniper] v2.0

Post by Backfoot2002 »

A little project I have been working on and off over the past few weeks, using Dave Babb's old model. Ive redone the textures, and made the sides and front 1024x1024 textures. Rich (a.k.a trains2) sorted the lights out for me. I have also created a new folder to aviod confilct, and made seperate shapes for the front, centre and rear cars.

Its nearly completed, just needs a some textures sorting, and it then it should be uploaded by the weekend, (I hope).

Hi
Looks very nice Anton. :P
This is one of the few modern units I have installed (mainly so I could use Kenjis excellent cabview with working monitor).
I'll look forward to the upload.
Cheers
Jon

Are the brakes still as "strange" as they were before?

Nice work Anton :)

The route is Great Eastern, on the exit of London Liverpool Street station.

Dan

If he means the sorta 3-part power handle bit, where you have 'brakes' 100-0%, then 'released' 100-0%, then the 'power' 0-100% (which I think is quite unusual, most units don't have the released part), then yes it still has this, unless this is prototypical, but AFAIK it isn't the case on the 458 Junipers. Other than that the brakes seem to be OK, you have to go quite deep into braking, about 50%, to get a substantial decrease in speed but again this may be prototypical.

Yes, the brakes are the same as before. I don't really know change them, so unless anyone wants to take on the challenge, then I will leave them as they are.

Just another update, Ive done a new interior and made it a slightly better resolution than before. Ive also changed the texture at the front, behind the coupler and textures for the undercarriage section. I will show some more shots tommorow and hopefully upload.

Nice! Has Great Eastern been released? (Excuse me if I've missed something)

EDIT: Sorry. Just realised who Backfoot is.
