ALL right calm it :o I had figured it out after i posted, but it would take up more space and wasting time and side-tracking from the main point.

If no one had guessed I'm an insane fan of the BTTF trilogy, so I'm making the train but I'm in need of a little help. I need to post some of the questions now or im never going to get anywhere.

Image

-Whats the best way to get two exausts. As yoyu may know the time train has two flame shooting chimenys and I can only get 1 short of having a second hiden engine, is there another way? (number 1)

-Tips on lights, should this get to that stage there are going to be lights for all the parts of the engine, including tender. How do I get them to flash, fade, come on at a cirtain speed ect.

-The white and red lining on the wheels goes funny at distances, I know something about makeing the .ace a bigger resolution and having the surronding colour similar to the needed one. But how does that work for lining.

-Tips on realists textures, this may be a general issue, all my trains seem to look very perfect and almost toytown.

-Wipers! Now this is causing problems, Numbers 2 and three on the pic are going to be animated using the 'v' key (if possible) but I cant seem to get it working. Shape viewer is fine tick the wipers box and they animate. In the sim 3 animates when the engines moving and 2 doesnt move at all.

And can there be some comments on looks and some encouregement to finish it,this is a big project, Yea lots of encouregement please.

On a side note, does anyone know WHY! my precursor model has still not been accepted!

Sorry for the long post but it was needed. :lol:

Will it have time travel capabilities then? Any chance of doing a model of the Delorean to go with it as well? :)

I shall probebly try once this is finished, although that could take a while.

EDIT: Its come up with a problem when trying to put it into a consist to test what I have. It says

Error reading train database file
File: Trains\Trainset\The Time Train\TimeTrain.eng
Line: 4

I've had problems like this before but
SIMISA@@@@@@@@@@JINX0D0t______

Wagon ( The Time Train
Type ( Engine )
WagonShape ( TimeTrain.s )
Size ( 2.66m 4.189m 8.5m )
CentreOfGravity ( 0m 1.7m 0m )
Centre ( 0m 0m 0m )
Mass ( 96.25t )
InertiaTensor ( Box (3.1m 3.79m 13m) )
Coupling (
Type ( Chain )
Spring (
Stiffness ( 1e6N/m 2e6N/m )
Damping ( 1e6N/m 1e6N/m )
Break ( 3.2e6N 3.2e6N )
r0 ( 20cm 40cm )
)
)

What on earth is wrong with that!

You can't have spaces in the actual wagon name.

I suggest trying something like The_Time_Train.

However, the actual name (found at the bottom of the ENG file normally) could be 'The Time Train.'
