Recently posted on the 3Dtrains Forum... It is something I've been trying to do for ages. They spotted the M$ mistake in the app.fbk file that disables the gloss shader.

Oh well - the main result of the message from "Vital" was that they have discovered how to get the GlossMap shader working for MSTS
There is a change to the app.fbk system file to fix a bug and the S file for the model needs a bit of editing.
This effectively adds one texture on top of another, but using a different mapping algorithm based on the camera position and face normal vector - the result is a texture that looks like it is reflecting it's surroundings.
I'll have a go at it on one of my models tonight and we'll see if it works.

Isn't this what TML-Studios were claiming to have done with their Berlin Subway route?

Yes, the "reflective" windows.

Looks good - except I converted the wrong S file so the texture map on the rods is wrong.

I can't say I agree myself - I for one prefer the normal setup with Specular lighting.

I have rather overdone the env map, I'll make it more subtle for the final version.
The effect is best viewed moving rather than as a static image.
I'll get on with converting models shortly so you can all have a go.

i Actually really like it

PS does it work on emus, the new 442 would be topped off with that effect

There's something not quite right about it, but it does look good I have to say.
