Yes, I know I said that the J72 would be my last major build for MSTS, but after working on several items for the community replacement program, I felt I needed a change. I stumbled on diagrams and pictures of the below, so got stuck in.

Having never modelled Walshearts gear before, let alone a gresley 2:1 conjugated link, I think it's coming on quite nicely. Also, digging through the archives, I found this variation:

...So that's a go as well, then :D

Hopefully should get them done in time for the release of LSE2: Great Eastern, on which many of them ran.

PS: next time I say that a project will be my final one, please hold me to it!

morpeth - that model is looking good, just be careful about the chimney shape because I think the sides are a bit too straight.

*Bump!*

Latest update: Valve gear in and animated (hairline receeded another half-inch over that!), some detail now on. Tender now being built to match; all textures temporary/incomplete.

BR7MT: I narrowed down the "waist" of the chimney slightly. Does it look any beter to you?

Not got too much done today: I was at work all day, then all activity ceased for an hour and a half to perform weekly geek rituals (i.e. new series of Doctor Who :D )

Stay tuned folks,

-Chris.

Chris, Great model, although i belive the LNER on the tender should either be centerised on the tender or level with the cab numbers, it should also be the same size as the numbers if im correct

i may be wrong but im pretty sure thats right
