Any help would be greatfully recieved

I thought Making Tracks already has it near completed locked up somewhere?

There's a very similar 450 already available of course - on UKTS - by Making Tracks

Nope, that one on the far left is a private repaint of the 450 that I did. I hoped it could be included in the DC CD, but permission was not given. I still gave it to the CD members anyway as a contribution.
MT have done a 444, but it hasn't been released, so you don't need to worry about it.

I take it its not freeware? If it isn't then I'll be carrying on with my one for people who don't want to pay for it or get the pack it's included with. It's not going to be the best model ever released but it will fill a possible freeware gap in the market.

Nvincer, I hope you do continue with the model, the 444 is extremely sought after, especially with Dorest Coast! The thing is that since MT have announced that they're going to be covering the South West mainline's, they will probably keep their 444 under wraps for the forseeable future. Do Dave's DC route, and its many fans, will be very, VERY greatfull for your efforts! Even a 'poor' model, which I'm sure it won't be is better than nothing at all when you're trying to create a realistic activity,

You actually rarely see 444s, they run on the Portsmouth Direct, and with there being 120 450s, with 17 more to come, 444s could effectively be completely OOU for a day.

erm they do run from portsmouth to waterloo via eastleigh too
and some services terminate at eastleigh from waterloo
All 444s
