Good luck, and I suppose once its done it wouldn't be too much would it to turn it into one of the very similar Taff Vale Tanks like 85?

I wouldn't think so they are basically the same Kitson design (with a different cab) , hence why a lot of TVR locos ened up at Lambton after the GWR got rid of them.

The TVR tanks are one of my favourite types of tank engine, especially after seeing 85 on the KWVR so much........

Yep The DFR has Number 28, which is actually the only main line loco left that was built in Wales. A friend of mine helped restore it whenit was at Caerphilly Railway centre, quite a few years ago now..................

Dave R, I should be at the KWVR gala, checking out how 2968 does in Yorkshire- having had plenty of experience of it elsewhere.........

I'll get some head on and side on pics of 85, I have a book about 28 so I'll see what's in there about that, there are minor differences between the 2, but not much.

And seen as you liked the last pic, here's another...........

Actual picture is better, was botched a bit in the scanning.

Looking good so far :D
However, you seem to have used poly smoothing on some surfaces that should be flat, eg the front of the wheels. I can't remember the method to fix this off the top of my head, but I know there is one-run a quick search of the TSM forum and you should find it. There also seems to be a lot of empty space between the wheels, looks like you could use some frames in there?
But as I say, a good model on the whole. This is an engine I've wanted to see in MSTS for a long time, and Taff Vale versions would be the icing on the cake :D

Be lovely to try and get cab shots and sound recordings off No. 28 or 85. If that would be possible for the NYMR locos, bet it would attract some folk :D :D :D

I have to agree, for me cab views make a loco as I drive from the cab all the time. I have bought several commercial add ons just to get extra cab views for downloaded stock.
