BR Liveried 57XX panniers

Post by davidaward »

Just made up these from Refman's model, BR Black liveried 57XX with rounded cab in BR black . Again, 2 packs will be released, one in black, one in green. All are numbered as Croes Newydd (Wrexham) based versions, so perfect for the Blaenau Branch, stopping trains to Bala from RUabon, as well as short haul freight and shunting around the industrial areas of Ruabon.

Cheers, the green does look a bit better though when in the sim, its the same shade as used on my pararies, so they all look the same.

I think the Green one is OK - but the Black one definately needs some kind of blurring, as you can see the same texture repeated. And is it me, or does the smokebox look blue?

I think the blue is used as a sort of shiney effect. It looks good to me. I've got the SVR pack, and almost all of the reskins of the 57xx, but I'll download these too :-) .

Nice ones David, I can almost hear the vacuum pump spitting as they coast into a station.

One minor issue, remembering Croes Newydd panniers in service, you didn't often sea a clean one, so very dirty would be a realistic livery.

Cheers all, I'll release them as clean, though once released if anyone wants to weather them (not a speciality of mine!), they are welcome to.

They are actually different to the BATS ones, these have the later rounded cab, so i have made them to complement the BATS reskins.

The locos will have a new .eng fiel from Rick Gibb just to add to realism!

Very nice David. One day I must get round to putting in Croes Newydd plus the rest of Wrexham (fascinating place) plus Rhyl etc . Probably in one of the new sims though.
