Could somone build City of Truro for MSTS???

Post by RobertM »

To all,

I was at the Llangollen steam gala last sunday (5th) and I realised that City of Truro is a fine engine and that there should be a MSTS version of it.

I have absoltutly no idea about creating things for MSTS, apart from route activities, so I was hopng that one of you loco creators could accept the challange and create a City of Truro.

RobetM :D

Interestingly, a search on "Truro" does not directly find it, but does find an activity in which it's pictured and in the text it's listed, with a file ID.

That file ID is invalid.

It's not at all obvious where it is under the GWR area of the database. Two 4-4-0 being listed, neither C of T.

Not surprising then that the question is asked....................... ?

Also "3440" in the text search does not find it.

Neither does going to one of Robin's locos and then using "Find other items by this Uploader"

Oh, and Robin's site does not list it under Downloads, and the relevent section of his Stock List on the site lists it as running as 3717 (Version 2 of the model) with no immediate indication of how you'd download it or from where.

The CD section says the stock contained is as per the list on site.

Hi
Homepage....scroll down left hand side to...."Stock list"....then click link for "GWR steam locos"...second one down....."3440 City of Truro"

"This is a representation of the GWRs City Class 4-4-0 in its 'as built' form.
The City of Truro is the best known of the class of 10 engines built in 1903."

Jon, maybe a Firefox issue, I'm looking at the same dated page.................The Stock List link does not get me to anywhere to download either 3717 or 3440, just to a bigger pic with no target file attached or any indication of where I can get it.

BTW, I don't need to download it, was just pointing out how confusing the paths to this file set of excellent locos can be in practice. They are the wrong shade of Crimnson Lake for me..................

I'm fairly sure Robin has done newer versions - these are quite old files (but still great models :) )
