The one thats in the library, still there I think, was made by Norm, and in his words, a bit crude..This is a new model he made, but didn't finnish off. the only trouble is, its got about 20 ace files at the moment, so it needs its textures sorting out a bit, something I'm not very good at!

I guys,

Sorry nothing has appeared yet , been a bit busy!

I noticed that the original model of 10800 is going to be released with the Gowin to Nowhere project, and was wondering should I still upload my model?

By the original model, do you mean my model which was on the brink of release a year ago?

That's the first I've heard of inclusion into a CD I sent a couple of test copies for appraisal only.

I've lost the original.wag files for the loco & transparent loco in a computer crash, if someone could send them back I'd be grateful.

I've not released the model as Jason has made his - it's now ready for upload. There's no reason why both shouldn't be made available.

As far as I'm aware, 10800 ( different to 10000 ) is Pusscat3's model, updated by Jimmy. I wasn't aware you'd done a model of 10800, Richard?

Funny enough I was looking at 10800 plans the other day.

I haven't modelled it or have any intention of doing so - I'm not a great diesel fan - dirty, nasty things.

10000 interested me as it was about the most significant main-line diesel & should have been preserved. I remember it parked very neglected & forlorn at Willesden before being broken-up.

Hi Richard
Yes that is the model we'd really love............like this one at the beginning of this thread....but I believed yours was virtually completed?

I did reply to your earlier thread BTW.

Although I believe Tim Court has now started a model, so there's hope there will be a 10000 in msts. :P

OK...lets clear this up a bit....Pusscat3 did a model of 10800 and uploaded it about 18 months ago.....but in his words, it's .. He then did an updated model about a year ago, before he left the scene, which he never finnished...he gave that model to me, which I have finnished, and given to the Gowin 2 Knowhere route as an exclusive, so as far as downloadable 10800's, the only on is pusscat3's . one, so Jason, please, please, please! upload yours so theres a decent downloadable one! :D

I finally uploaded my 10000 last night, should be available soon.

I also uploaded 30582 Adams Radial in BR livery; the last uploads seem to have been caught in a Highland avalanch.

Seems to be some confusion between 10000 & 10800; 10800, from about 1958, was an eight-wheeled freight loco with an offset centre cab, 10000 was twelve-wheeled & was the first main line passenger diesel in Britain.

I had a transparent loco which gave me the extra two exhausts for 10000 -it's been lost during a computer crash, I can't get the current example to function properly.

I'll model & upload some headboards & discs for 10000. I've just used freightanim for coach destination boards - seems to work fine.

If you look at the screenie of the model you'll notice a half-drawn Bulleid Bournemouth set; should be ready soon. I've also decided to model the Tavern Car, a political protest against the latest insanity of this insane government.

Just downloaded 10000.

When I was a kid, ( mid 1950's) there always used to be an O gauge (I think) train set up at Christmas at Glasgow Central which was 10000 & 10001 and some Mk 1 coaches.
I have been a fan of these locos ever since and it is great to have this excellent model available now.

Fantastic model and thank you, Richard.

The BR version wouldn't look amiss heading the 1.15 am "Newspapers" ex Waterloo on BATS "Southern Region" route. I remember travelling on said train in the early fifties, it was either that loco' or its sister on that occasion.
