But that has nothing to do with the 'Superheater' factor, which is a factor of improvement in power output through superheating - and the Y14 wasn't superheated. Jur has explained it nicely, and I shall carry one with my physics experimentation.Christopher125 wrote:Hi
Steam Heat pressure is the amount of steam being used for heating the carriages basically.

Ummmm. 'Yes and no' about covers it. The Epping - Ongar line had vacuum gear push-pull fitted F5s - which were F4s with increased boiler pressure, different safety valves and a couple of other differences which wouldn't affect the appearance too drastically.arabiandisco wrote:Is that the kind of loco that worked Epping - Ongar until electrification? I know the EOR is hoping to build one from scratch if that is the case...
So thats why the J69 goes tairing off at 90 odd mph when the regulator is more then 10%fadedGlory wrote:GER Blue, LNER lined black and BR dirty - the usual, I'd think![]()
Re. the E4, I don't have the drawings at the moment, BUT... I have discovered that the GER Society now provide all of their drawings on a CD for £ 20. That one will definitely go on my Santa list, so patience, grashopper![]()
I am rather cavalier with my eng files, I use the eng file calculator and leave everything I don't know as default! Don't believe anything you see in there, and feel free to make changes as you see fit. If you really think you end up with better driving/more realistic loco's, please let me know, I can always release updates of the models.
