Polite request for FGW HST

Post by INTERCITY »

HI

I was wondering if the person that created the fantastic HST
model "43026 City of Westminster" in FGW livery would be
able to create the same models only with no's 43003 and
43023 "county of cornwall"

Also a note to say that 43026 is an absolutley brilliant
model.

I believe it was Backfoot2002 who did these great models. I doubt (although i good be wrong) that a request such as this would be fulfilled, because firstly, some people don't have the time, secondly, a model such as this isn't rly noticeable as to what number/ name it has, because they are so small, unlike something like a Class 66, which has large bodyside numbers, and thirdly, i have read so many times on these forums that 'people don't do requests', it's case of DIY unfortunatly. :(

Unless it does get done, you could always have a go a re-doing it yourself in something like PaintShop Pro, and you wouldn't have to get any permission to do it as long as you kept it personal and didn't upload it.

Hope that explains some things.

Cheers

Firsty, it was Buffy and Bruce that created the wonderful model, and Lucazone who flooded me with photos - I just did the stiching and applied them to the train.

As richard stated people don usually do requests, but as these would probably be a small amendment then I guess it wouldn't be too bad. Only thing is, that if you want the nameplate added, then I will need a picture of it, then Ill add it along with the numbers.

Would be in the format of the '43184' Virgin Power Car's upload, just on their own.

Cheers

Argh!!! 023!! the killer HST! ;)

Ran over 2 or 3 people in the space of about a month - rather unlucky! Although as far as I'm aware, strangley, all of the people survived.

....woodlice, worms, beetles, termites, bugs, flies (hell of alot of them!), midges, centipedes, and anything else that isnt cranially advanced enough to realise a railway line is dangerous.

I saw a train that looked like it had gone through a swarm of bees once, and the driver must have had to make an extra stop because pollen had covered his windscreen, and the wipers got too sticky to remove it. Fortunately, there's no chance to hit wildlife on MSTS, apart from poorly animated deer....

Ah I see this post got brought back up. Going back on topic I did actually do the power cars, adde d the driver visors, and also moved the whole power onto the v3 model, as the FGW Gold/Green livery is.

But in a recent format I lost the them, they were also done aswell, just awating the nameplate!

NEWSFLASH : NEWSFLASH : NEWSFLASH : NEWSFLASH : NEWSFLASH : :)

43023 'County of Cornwall' hit a beehive near Didcot on the 13:00 Paddington - Swansea. The driver was replaced at Swindon by another. 43019 'City of Swansea/Dinas Abertawe' was the rear power car.

Of course, we have 43018/019. 43018 is named 'The Red Cross' while 43019 is named 'City of Swansea/Dinas Abertawe' in a bulk nameplate. Both are now in FGW Barbie. :(
