Where the source files are already pretty unstable ! ;-)

Did you get refurbished CEPs in blue and grey, or did they go straight into jaffa then NSE liverys :-?

That's a very good question. If the answer is no, then you can pretend that the TOC has repainted it in a nostalgic but inauthentic blue-grey livery before its eventual withdrawal :(

Back at home, I've pulled out my 1982 edition of Colin Marsden's "Motive Power Recognition:2, EMUs", and in there is a nice set of pictures of 411506 (previously 7133) just after refurbishment in 1979 - in blue-grey livery.

Not sure how many other refurbished units kept their blue-grey livery, though.

Thanks for the responce, the question did puzzel me, as i no the CEPs in the LSE are non refurbished versions :) which was the reasoning behind my question.

I'm sure CEP refurbishments finished in 1984 and the 'Jaffa Cake' livery was first applied in 1984 or 1985, so it's possible all refurbished CEPs carried BR blue and grey livery.

Thanks all for your comments.

In the meantime, any third rail fans might be interested to know that on the 'Screenshots' forum I've posted a picture of my latest creation, a 4VEG repaint of the excellent 4VEP model by (I think) Matt Peddlesden: the thread is entitled 'Class 427 (4VEG) 7901'. AFAIK no-one else has done one of these yet.

At some point I'll maybe get down to modelling rather than 'just' texturing!
