The excellent Thaxted branch has brought added interest in the Great Eastern routes. I wonder if someone would have a go at modelling the two streamline versions of the LNER B17/5. (I believe this was discussed some time ago but I am unable to locate the thread. Was this one of your projects Peter (Digman)? )
As a lad I spent many hours train spotting on the old GE route at Chadwell Heath as our garden backed onto the railway and one of the biggest cops to have in your Ian Allen ABC book was one of these two. I always remember my older brother taking me up to Liverpool Street station and seeing “61670 City of Londonâ€

I echo that request. There was a little discussion on this before in the BlueArrow forum.

I think Peter Harvey (Australia) was planning on doing these but I haven't heard any progress reports.

If someone gave me the drawings I'd be happy to make one-but it wouldn't be to a very high standard as I have never made an MSTS loco before.

Muztrem,
I would advise making something more simple first - that streamlining is a lot more difficult than you'd think.
By the time you've made 3 -4 locos your 'East Anglian' will be to the standard you'd want.

Yup you aint wrong there, the A4 and P2 got almost two complete rebuilds before l settled on the final shape, its really odd how it kind of slopes inwards at the bottom just above the valances, and that carries round almost to the front.
Like the other guys say, take on something simple and you'll be much better rewarded than tackling something very difficult, especially if its your first project, a wagon is good, boring as wood but it'll get you into the naming conventions etc.
Best regards
Michael

Some of the B17's were the ones named after Football Clubs right? Anyone for 2871?

Well, thanks for the advice guys...unfortunatley, having downloaded 3D Canvas program I've found it takes up more disk space than I have availible, so I can't make it anyway. (Don't you just hate it when that sort of thing happens?) Sorry!

Well, you're right. There was an article in The Railway Magazine in December 2002.
