new ideas for rolling stock

unfortunatly i dont have the programs to help make rolling stock, but maybe in time i might do
i been looking at the downloads page and alltho there is a vast selection of classes of loco, we dont have a large choice of which to choose from as we all have a paticular loco close to heart, it would be good to see some reskins of all these engines so we have a larger choice per-loco
personally id like to see some more b17's possible locos arsenal and man utd.
more peppercorn A1's how about the new build, 60164 Tornado, and another close to my heart 60114 "W.P.Allen" (named after my great grandfather)
how about some standard 5's or perhaps a black 5 close to my heart "george stephenson"
what about the solo big bertha im sure that would be popular
theres many more to think off but lets do a poll and those i miss you can all write here

I'm pretty sure i have seen someones avatar showing Big Bertha, might have been decopods.
The A1 has been done commerically by Peter Harvey (UK one) and is going to be done by Michael Davies (mickoo) for Bluearrow TS in the future.
I think Geaorge Stephenson has been done and is in the file library somewhere, the Standard 5 has also been done by Peter Harvey.
I've also seen B17's by Peter Harvey (Australia!) available as freeware downloads.
The Standard 4 tank is available with the Severn Valley Railway route and soon to be available with the Swanage route. The tender version is going to come with the East lancashire Railway route CD (see Route Builders and Screenshots forums).
God I need to get out more...!
Hope this is of help,
Dan Hamblin

i know many have been done but we have limited choice of the classes, the standard 5 i have not seen as freeware
black 5 george stephenson might have been done i recall seeing a model of the engine with a number but no nameplate
really i should of stated that i meant the standard 4mt tender loco
there is 6 b17's of which i would of thought by now we would have b17s named after the most well known football club
as i have said i cant do the models my self im really doing this as like a questionaire to see where the interest lies so that those who are building models can see what will be worth building

Here are a few of my own personal "wishlists" for future development!
I don't know of ANY of these locos currently available, either freeware or payware.
1] Fairburn 4MT 2-6-4T (LMS or BR)
2] Stanier 5MT 2-6-0 ( eg 42948) 1933 to 1963-68
3] Ivatt 2-6-0 Mogul (late LMS & BR. eg 43027)
4] Black 5 with Caprotti valve gear (eg 44752)
5] Princess Royals (LMS and BR)
(Sorry, but Norman Walker's Prinny isn't my taste!)
That's my favourite region!!
6] destreamlined West Country 4-6-2 (eg 34028 Eddystone)
7] destreamlined Merchant Navy 4-6-2 (eg 35030 Elder Dempster Line)
8] SR Class USA 0-6-0T (eg 30064)
9] BR Standard Class 5 4-6-0 (73xxx)
10] BR Standard Class 3 2-6-0 (eg 77xxx)
Finally.....
a nice MetroVick Co-Bo!!!
Cheers

well i have to say that is truely a nice little selection, i was trying to think of engines for other regions but as you can see my mind was a little blank i'll give everyone a little more time to post a reply to this message before i change the vote options a bit i think.
i did read something about a new de-streamlined princess on the downloads but not sure about it, its under rolling stock creation tho
might of been the lms/br pacifics thing

just correcting my self, its a destreamined duchess, as we all know the princess's never were streamlined.............
so now im disscombobulated to why i said de-streamlined princess
there goes my sanity im crazy, anyway back to the subject

There never was a 'Duchess' class officially - they were 'Princess Coronation' class, as I recall.
As for what's missing? In addition to what's already been listed:
Lots and lots of 0-6-0 tender engines - they were all over the railways in steam days
GER 2-4-0 in both 7 foot (T19) and 5 foot 8 (LNER E4)
Suburban tanks from all over the place
B17s in Country House names (Sandringhams)
B1 variations
a couple of reskinned Tilbury tanks in different names
Whatever anyone wants to make, in whatever livery. If it chuffs, I'm interested

Barry.

I think most people just call 'em Duchesses and Princesses, as its easier to differentiate between 'em that way, rather than using the correct "Princess" or "Princess Coronation" etc. nomenclature!
Personally, I'd just like to see more of BOTH, especially Lizzies!!!
