Freightanim and Shadows

Post by Breedlings »

Evening All,

Just a quick one - is it possible to get a freightanim wagon load to throw a shadow?

You could easily check by putting a ref file entry for the load in the route and placing it in RE then hit + until the sun is low in the sky.

Well as you infer, they don't.....and even if you could, the dynamic shadow implementation is so awful that it's not worth it IMHO.....................

I hate the way vehicle shadows pass straight through bridges and fall on the ground under them, for example.......and things like yard textures as plates "hide" the shadow, which falls under them on the "ground" unseen.......EUCH!!!

Dynamic shadow implementation was something I was hoping MSTS2 would address...
