Hiya!

I would do Sam but msn keeps messing up on me so I'll have to figure out what the problem is...! Anyway - question time!

Here is the latest rendition of the New class 150 model in GMAX :

Image
The wheels are deep and realistic. I've tried to acheive that unique 'heavy' feel evident with the new 156 model.:)

I've saved the wheel alignment as a seperate file and have imported it as I want to have the option to change the width etc without having to pull around the rest of the model by accident.
I really need to know a lot more about bounding boxes, pivot points etc - pretty much everything really! Is there a tutorial available that would give me more info on this? The readme on uktrainsim is great but I really am totally new to all this so anything simplified would be appreciated a lot! Obviously, I will continue trying!

cheers! :) Hope you're all doing great!

I did have yahoo but it was a nightmare!
I think I've figured whats wrong with msn now anyway, I'm downloading the update! Everyone else gets a notification when a new version is available - but for some reason, mine just won't connect and no explenation is given..!

Is it about the Anglia 150? I would welcome interest but I think I've made my choice regarding liveries. It was a joint dessision really! I'll give you more information when I manage to do the first textures for the model.
When I release the model, I'll include 'blue' textures which will give everyone the opportunity to make new liveries quickly and effectivley, utilizing the 3D textures already there. Its a new concept for me and I'm quite happy to use it here as its freeware. Should be good!!

As I've said - is there anyone who could give me a hand regarding the bounding boxes and pivot points?

Sorry to burst your bubble...

But Now that you have got the model in GMAX it looks pretty big,
Check how long tall and wide it is with the tape selection, that 458 you started me off with was over 200 mtrs long!

Looks great though!

Matthew

I've made my choice regarding liveries. It was a joint dessision really! I'll give you more information when I manage to do the first textures for the model.
When I release the model, I'll include 'blue' textures which will give everyone the opportunity to make new liveries quickly and effectivley, utilizing the 3D textures already there.
As I have said, my choice has been made and every txture I am creating is being duplicated in 'blue' so you can easily modify the colour scheme and utilize the 3D textures there easily. Should be a breeze painting other opperating liveries using this extra addition!
Just amending some minor detail faults at the present - again, I'll send out my help plea - is there anyone who knows where I can find a descent msts GMAX readme or guide? Anything would be a significant help and if you play your cards right, you may even get a beta version of the model before anyone else!

I've only just noticed this too, as I rarely venture out of the BVE forum! I must admit, it looks absolutely fantastic!

looks a great model so far, keep up the good work. another suggestion that if this 150 is sucessful (which i'm SURE it will) perhaps you could get to work on designing a decent 158 model, i love those DMU's, and to see a high quality model like your 150 would be awesome :)
