Two Pantographs?

Post by smudge5609 »

Hi,

Just wondering, but does MSTS allow two pantographs to be used at the same time. i have built two, 2 section Pantographs, the first named...

PANTOGRAPHBOTTOM1
PANTOGRAPHTOP1

and the second named...

PANTOGRAPHBOTTOM2
PANTOGRAPHTOP2

But I can only get the second pantograph to work. If I change the numbers at the end around in the .s file, ie PANTOGRAPHBOTTOM1 becomes PANTOGRAPHBOTTOM2, etc, the other pantograph works :-?

So, for some reason, PANTOGRAPHBOTTOM1 and PANTOGRAPHTOP1 do not work!

Any ideas?

Thanks, Chris

I don't think it does. Most real world electrics only use one panto anyway. If you need to have two up, then one has to be modelled in the fixed up position. I may be wrong, and if so, someone is bound to correct this.

Ok Thanks,

It is really going to be used for a set of tram doors, basically a 4 door folding entrance(2 pantographs on there side!). I could understand if you could only have one pantograph if it was PANTOGRAPHBOTTOM1 that worked but it works with PANTOGRAPHBOTTOM2

Hi Steve,

Great, that works a treat, Thanks. Looks like you can use either Pantograph1 or 2, but which one works, depends on if your consist is reversed when running or not
