"STATIC" locos

Post by bravedan »

Hi All,

Please see the post under "Background Consists" in "Wanted" if you have not read it already...........

Given that reducing a loco to the extent we have means quite a bit of compromise on quality...............before we roll out any more, and before we set up "Ready to Use" self contained versions for all liveries, any comments???????????

From the other thread, I repeat, do we really need various liveries for each loco, or is a generic non logo'd livery OK at the expected viewing range??

If people feel that they are OK as is and that the liveries are needed, we'll set the 3FT up with a file set for each livery..............but it'll make the sets bigger and slow output!!

Regards,

Dave

Dave

I Dont Know why but anything created thats very good for the performance of the sim and appears simple seams to get very very little feedback :(

I built a pair of AI class 76 a while back very simple looking things very high simulation performance for working multiple woodhead freight or just loads of them at the Depot and got Sub Zero Feedback :(

they will soon learn whats good for them !

maybe :D

well, personally guys i feel simple non logo'd locos are fine, but i know some others who would like various livery's... i guess it depends really, set up a poll maybe?
i think personally i'd say keep it simple, as i take your point about it making it slower output.

As you know I really appreciate what has been done and think that those models add so much to a route for such a minimal effect.
I don't think that liveries are a problem because they are not supposed to be seen close..as far as I'm concerned..maybe..a shade of grey, dark green, maroon would suffice to give the impression of stock belonging to various companies/BR from a distance.!!!
I'm very happy with anything that is decided .. :D
